Summer is almost here
This is a good time to finalize weeding, check or install irrigation. Cover the garden with mulch to maintain moisture in the soil. Also, plant perennials, trees, and of course, bulbs -Gladiolas, Dahlia's, etc. Any planting, small or large could benefit from these final rains of Spring. Maintenance includes cleaning up debris, pruning Citrus in September, dividing Iris bulbs, and getting ready for dry weather- Start thinking of ways to make your garden drought resistent, by planting California Natives, and installing an efficient drip system.
